Cat Cow Pose – Marjaryasana-Bitilasana Level: Beginner Instructions: Start with the knees directly above the hips (knees hip width-apart). To measure the ideal distance between hands and knees, place elbows on the mat directly in front of the knees. Once you have measured the right distance, push yourself up on your hands with palms flat on the mat (table-top position). To get into Cat pose, round the back and push the belly in towards the spine as you exhale. Inhale and come back to neutral table-top position. To get into Cow pose, lift the chest towards the ceiling and arch the back slightly as you inhale. Lift the head and look straight forward. Return to neutral spine. Benefits: -Stretches back torso , front torso and neck. -Provides a gentle massage to spine and belly organs.
